I am going to show off now

This little A.C.E.O. painting was listed in my folksy shop,

and within 2 minutes it was bought and paid for.

In fact the paint was only just dry,

when I listed it.

That sort of thing does not happen very often ,only once before.

Must get going on some more I guess.

My day is made

Stylized Gentian

I loved painting this aceo.

Found my Gouache paints [long forgotten] the gentian looks really great using these paints.

Now that the craft fairs have ended I have more time to experiment with paint and images.

I don't have a particular style just try anything that takes my fancy.

All I have to do now is to start selling a few!!

Been busy with my paintbrush again,the abstract seems quite popular in my folksy shop so far lots of views.

I have just listed the 'cute ducklings on a lilly pond ,to-day

Will see what sort of receptions that one gets.

One can never tell what people will like.

I have just discovered an interesting thread on folksy featuring aceo's [art cards,editions & originals]

So I have joined in with one of my miniature paintings - they must measure 3.5 ins x2.5 ins to qualify as an aceo.

I have just listed my first piccie on folksy,do have a peep!

Lucky Winner!!

I have just received my 'Give away prize' all the way from Massachusetts,

I could'nt believe my eyes when the postman handed me this very large box.

I did not expect such a big item,the' afghan throw' is huge,and the colours match my furniture as you can see in the images.

What a clever lady Debbie Malloy is.

So much work, must have taken hours to make. I am so pleased to receive such a beautiful item.

Every time I go into the lounge it makes me smile,

You must look at' poetesswug's blogs she writes the most lovely poetry,aswell as making crochet hats and things,what a busy lady !!

Reductions

I have decided to reduce my felt applique brooches

from £6.50 down to £4.50

'Flue' Jab,Anyone?

I went for my annual flue jab on Wednesday,

on Friday I had developed a prickly soreness in my throat,

by Saturday I had started a full blown dose of 'flue'.

Been in bed since then, with a fever and all that goes with the dreaded 'flue'

Has anyone suffered like this after getting jabbed that you know of? is it unusual?

I shall think twice before going to my doctor's surgery to get 'flue in future,Cough Cough Sneeze

Oh excuse me!!

Then I was cheered up by' poetesswug' Deb telling me that I had won her latest givaway.

It is a afghan crocheted by her.I am looking forward to my parcel all the way from America,

what a generous person she is.

Letter From Tuppence to Penny my Breeder

As you Know I am 15 weeks old now,and getting prettier by the day.I love going to craft fairs as there are so many people that I have made friends with.They think

I am adorable especially when I lay on my back,I do like my tummy being stroked.[No I am not a hussey, just friendly]

Every day we go to the park where I run- jump- skip- fall over-and pick up little' treasures'

I played with another puppy yesterday,I think he likes me, hope we see him again. I have to keep my lead on tho' cos I might get lost, it is a very large park. Here are some piccies of me in the park.

Another thing that I like is going out in the car, I travel in the back in my little cage to keep me safe, I've never been car sick!

My owners are very pleased with me when I sit for my meals and special treats, they always say

'gooood girl' Well I am most of the time,I do sleep all night too.

Well!

Great news my button ear rings have been featured on the home page of dreamaid

You can see the pair of cerise ear rings that I mean in the picture below this blog.

I have been designing button jewellery for such a short time. I am pleased to report that my sales at craft fairs have been GREAT!

I am of the opinion that when visitors see me actually making the button jewellery it impresses them.

I do get used to the comments 'Oh! now I know what to do with my mum's old buttons'

I have to giggle 'go on then make em'

I have outlets in three gift shops and they are selling well there too.

I shall be on the lookout for more buttons when ever we go shopping,I do prefer the vintage buttons tho'

Playing with Buttons Again

This time it is a pink necklace.I was lucky enough to find some vintage buttons yesterday at a sale. So off I went home to do some more designing. I listed this one in my dreamaid shop.

We have three fairs this week end so need to take some work to demonstrate.

I find there is so much more interest when potential customers can see that you actualy do make what you are selling

How many times have you been asked this question?'Do you make all this jewellery'

Grr!! I always smile sweetly with gritted teeth,and say' yes I do' mutter mutter.......

Had quite a busy time lately what with playing with our little puppy,time comsumng or what!!

Christmas cards

I thought it was a good time to list some Christmas cards, as I am in between craft fairs.

I have listed some in dreamaid and some in folksy.

I am also still busy with my button jewellery, at my last show I sold so many bracelets I need to stock up for August bank holiday shows.

Tuppence Has Arrived

Tuppence is now home with us,we collected her on Monday 9th.

This little bundle weighs in at2.1 kg

She is settling in very well and knows us already.

We just had to take a couple of pics with her new harness on, she is not too keen on it at the moment.

Our other dog Bonnie just looks on and watches the antics of her new buddie.

My Bargain

This is a storage box for rubber stamps,I came across it at a boot sale.It was only £5 pounds including 5 stamps.

Well I had other ideas for it as I don't do stamping.

I thought it would be just right to display my button jewellery in.

I am very pleased with the effect.

My buttons look great in here as you can see. Just got to make a few more to fill it up

I shall put it on my table just as it is, at my next fair at the week end.

Updat on Tuppence

Tuppence has grown a little, she is now 7 weeks old.

Can't wait to get her home to cuddle.Got to 2 more weeks to go!

Look Who is Coming to Stay

We fell in love with this little puppy at one of our fairs.

She is one of five born to a Yorkie mum and a long wired haired Jack Russell dad.

The breeder brought them in to show us all.

Love at first sight,she was the smallest of the litter.

We have decided to name her' Tuppence' and hope she will get on with our other dog 'Bonnie'

Will post more piccies as she grows.

So Busy

I have been very busy setting up a facebook account, must be a week ago!

Got lots of friends to talk to in folksy and facebook.

That is the problem talking too much.

This week end as I had no craft fairs so been sorting out all the buttons in my stock box.

Made a few button bracelets to go into' Strawberry Fish Gallery' and listed two in my folksy shop.

These are they.

Got to search for more buttons now ,I love that part.

Fluffy Hedgehogs

We did indeed have a great week.end at our fairs

The little children entertained us by dancing around the maypole ,the best dancing we have seen at a school.

The school was' Greenfields' at Hartley Wintney.

They loved our hedgehogs and bought our entire stock all 19 of them.

On Saturday we were at Swallowfield Parish Hall,with' Inspired Crafts' where we sold loads of greetings cards etc.

All in all a jolly good two days.

Must get the knitting needles out again for our next two day event ,a steam rally in Buckinhamshire.

I am off to a school summer fete to-day it is organised for the children,so will take loads of my hedgehogs. The kiddies love them.

Black Angels

These are the black angel ear rings as requested by my good customer.

In the end I decided to make lots of angel earrings ready for my next few shows

You know what it is like ,you just get carried away,I made 12 pairs all different colours,and sizes

as I always say 'Angels are Good People'

I Have Been featured in June Loons

Had an enquiry from an old customer for some more angel ear rings,so have been buying in a few more beads,she wanted black.

I said I would not be buying any beads for the moment ,but one must please ones customers!!

We have an outside' summer scout fair' this week end,the weather sounds good too.

Then off to a nice' real craft fair' on 26 th June

Been busy lately with craft fairs and making

It has been ages since my last blog ,but I have not been idle .

We attended several fairs in May - not too good sales tho'

In June so far we have done better.

My felt brooches are doing very well,I have made quite a few now .

I have been too busy designing and making to blog this week,but I am here now.

We have a picture of a penny farthing on our shelf and it inspired me to design these brooches.
